New regulations for pharmacies in multi-bill

The multi-bill to be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday includes news regulations on the operation of pharmacies in Greece.

It provides for the imposition of a minimum number of opening hours per week (which Kathimerini understands to amount to 40 hours), obligatory participation in the shift system and the continuous operation of drugstores throughout the year (in response to the phenomenon observed in certain tourism hotspots of pharmacies opening in the summer but remaining closed for the winter).
