Farmers file suit against unknown avocado bandits
Avocado farmers on the island of Crete have filed a lawsuit against persons unknown, claiming that an unidentified gang has been systematically stealing large quantities of their produce.
The farmers from Hania said that some 20 tons of avocados have so far been stolen and demanded police protection in rural areas, as well as an investigation by competent authorities to find the culprits.
