Man sentenced for falsely admitting to five murders

A court in the central Greek town of Volos on Friday handed a 15-month suspended sentence to a 43-year-old man for sending an email on Wednesday to a police cyber crime unit falsely claiming he had committed five murders.

According to police, the man also asked for instructions on how to surrender.

He was arrested in a raid of his home by police. He claimed that he sent the email to test the response of police.
