Vassilis Vassilikos’s 1967 subversive political thriller “Z” – which was captured on film by Costa-Gavras – has now been adapted for the stage in an opera penned by Germany-based Greek composer Minas Barboudakis with a libretto by Vangelis Hadzigiannidis for the Greek National Opera’s Alternative Stage.
