Polychronidis takes gold in world championships

Greece’s Grigoris Polychronidis won individual BC3 gold at the World Boccia Championships in Liverpool.

The holder of four medals in the Paralympic Games and top in the world's BC3 ranking defeated Von-Ho Geong of South Korea 6-5 in Wednesday's final.

Polychronidis qualified for the final after an 8-0 victory over Australian Daniel Michel in the semifinals.
