Unknown assailants blow up bank ATM in Paeania

Unidentified robbers blew open a bank ATM in front of a grocery store in Paeania, eastern Attica, in the early hours of Saturday, causing serious damage to the machine and the store but no injuries.

Police believe the assailants provoked the blast by channeling flammable gas into the machine before igniting it.

They fled with an undetermined sum.
