One of the leading figures of the international consortium of scientists called the Event Horizon Telescope that was behind the first-ever photograph of a Black Hole was Greek astrophysicist Dimitrios Psaltis (fourth from right in the second row) from the University of Arizona. "We did the best we could from Earth," he said, speaking to Kathimerini. "We got goosebumps when we received the data because we were ready to learn what nature has in store for us." The black hole is situated at the center of the galaxy M87 – 55 million light-years from Earth.
