Pensioners brave the rain
Pensioners demonstrate in the rain outside the Parliament in central Athens on Saturday. The protest was organized by pensioner unions. Among a long list of demands issued in a statement by associated pension organizations, protesters are demanding that they be compensated for the cuts that have been made, including the 13th and 14th pensions, as well as calling for increased pensions that are not based on “conditions prevalent in the previous century.” [ANA-MPA]
