Turkish incursions over eastern Aegean
A pair of Turkish fighter jets entered Athens’ Flight Information Region (FIR) on Friday morning without submitting a flight plan and flew over the islets of Oinouses, the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (GEETHA) said.
The incursion was recorded at 10.29 a.m., according to GEETHA.
The F-16s were identified and intercepted by Greek aircraft in line with international rules of engagement.
