Athens City Hall exploits empty roads to fix streets, pavements

The City of Athens is exploiting the drop in traffic resulting from lockdown measures amid the coronavirus epidemic to forge ahead with delayed maintenance and construction work across the capital.

Work that has gotten under way in recent days includes road resurfacing and relining, repairs to damaged sidewalks, the construction of new disabled access ramps and maintenance work on drainage systems.
