Defense spending needs clear goals

Greece has spent many billions of euros on its defense, but the results have not, unfortunately, been worth the amount of money sacrificed by the Greek people. Experience gained from previous armaments programs shows a real risk that 22.6 billion euros could be spend over the next decade, with similarly paltry results.

Greece only needs as many armaments as are absolutely necessary without wasting even a single euro. Greece is the only country in Europe which borders on a hostile neighbor that is continually arming itself to the teeth and making claims to our national territory.

That has to be fully understood by politicians and citizens alike, right throughout Greek society.
