The Rome correspondent for the Paris newspaper Le Monde has reported that a tripartite “Balkan” military treaty has been signed between Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary in response to a Balkan Pact signed in Ankara between Greece, Turkey and Yugoslavia. Military forces of the former three Cominform states are to be put at the disposal of Russian Field Marshal Koniev.
