The attack on Kathimerini is no coincidence. As Greek political officials have already declared, the daily newspaper is faced with an orchestrated attack by forces whose intention is to undermine the democratic institutions and smooth political life of the country.

Kathimerini, as demonstrated by its unyielding war against the various interests that squander the national wealth, has for years drawn the anger of a well-known circle of interests that has grown thanks to the preferential treatment of the state in the form of direct assignments, state procurements and the orders of military ordnance.

As for the mudslinging and slander against Kathimerini, the answer will be given in court.
