Survey: One in two Greek workers spend all they earn

Almost half of all workers in Greece say they are unable to put aside any savings each month while 52 percent report that they have a second job to make ends meet, according to survey results made public yesterday.

The survey, commissioned by job-finder website kariera.gr, found that 48 percent of respondents said they spend everything they earn in the course of a month.

“Even if it is difficult to put money aside, workers that create a budget within their limits and do not exceed it have a better chance of boosting their savings,” said Theofilos Vasiliadis, kariera.gr managing director, in a statement.
