Hospital stretcher bearer contracts swine flu

THANASSIS STAVRAKIS/AP

The number of swine flu cases in Greece rose to 108 yesterday after another seven people tested positive for the virus, the Health Ministry said. One of the new sufferers is a stretcher bearer working at Athens’s Sismanogleio Hospital (photo) which has been handling most of the suspect cases appearing in the capital. The sufferers are mostly Greek nationals, two of whom had recently returned to Greece from Britain.
