Oscar-winning British actress...

EVANGELOS BOUYIOTIS/EUROKINISSI

Oscar-winning British actress Helen Mirren and co-star Dominic Cooper listen to the instructions of Nicholas Hytner, artistic director of the Royal National Theater, during a dress rehearsal yesterday for Racine’s ‘Phedre,’ which the English company was set to perform at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus last night and tonight. Hytner’s production of Racine’s work, which is based on Euripides’s play ‘Hippolytus,’ has already received widespread praise in the UK. The ancient amphitheater is to host other prominent artists this summer, including British director Sam Mendes and veteran French actress Jeanne Moreau in the coming weeks.
