A flock of birds scatters in front of a Christmas tree set up in central Kotzia Square yesterday as part of efforts to dress up the capital for Christmas. Athens Mayor Dora Bakoyianni is to switch on the lights of the Christmas tree in Syntagma Square at a festive gathering starting at 7.30 p.m. today. Attractions will include a house made of sugar, with music and unusual confectionery creations on offer to the public.
