EUROKINISSI

Workers draped long black banners outside an OTE telecom building in Thessaloniki yesterday in protest at plans by Deutsche Telekom to take at least a 20 percent stake in the state-controlled company. Workers launched a three-day strike yesterday, fearing that the stake sale to the German telecoms groups may result in a loss of jobs.
