Railway’s massive debt...

EUROKINISSI

An Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) employee signals yesterday at a station in Larissa, one of several stations in Thessaly that is seeing routes slashed as part of a drive to reduce the railway’s massive debt. OSE has cut 12 scheduled routes between Larissa and Volos. The cuts have caused problems for workers and tourists alike. The majority of the country’s railway routes do not make any profit for OSE, which has run up a 7.5-billion-euro debt.
