World Diabetes Day...

Parliament House in central Athens was lit up under blue spotlights late yesterday as part of activities held for World Diabetes Day. With signs reading ‘United against Diabetes,’ campaigners gathered to raise public awareness against the disease which is increasing rapidly among children and adolescents. The campaign aims at raising awareness of the rising prevalence of both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis.
