Supporters of US presidential candidate Barack Obama gathered on a pedestrian bridge, designed by architect Santiago Calatrava, over Mesogeion Avenue yesterday as part of a global ‘Bridges for Obama’ campaign in support of the Democratic hopeful and to show that he ‘has a gift for bridging culture, race and politics.’
