Greek Federation of Bank Employees’ Unions (OTOE) to stage a 24-hour strike over collective labor agreements.

General Confederation of Greek Labor (GSEE) and Civil Servants’ Union (ADEDY) to stage a four-hour work stoppage from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to protest about workers’ rights. Protesters will hold a demonstration at noon outside OTOE’s headquarters in Athens and at 2 p.m. at the Venizelos Statue in Thessaloniki.

Bus, trolley and electric railway drivers to join the four-hour work stoppage, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., called by GSEE and ADEDY.

Holy Synod to convene in order to elect bishops for Piraeus and Siatista.

Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos to visit Paris to meet with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
