Monday

NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer visits Athens. He will meet with Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis and Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis. Greece’s position on FYROM’s NATO accession bid and the recent developments in Kosovo will top the agenda.

Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico visits Athens. At 12.30 p.m. he will meet with Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis.

President Karolos Papoulias to meet with Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico at 11.15 a.m. At 1.30 p.m. he will have talks with NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.

Interior Minister Prokopis Pavlopoulos to present Nikos Michalopoulos’s book titled “Public Administration in the Era of Results.” At noon at the Stoa tou Vivliou.

Athens Mayor Nikitas Kaklamanis to inaugurate the mobile information booth of the City of Athens’s Support and Evaluation Unit, at 1.30 p.m. at Kotzia Square.

Culture Minister Michalis Liapis visits Ancient Olympia to inspect restoration work at the fire-stricken archaeological site.

Tuesday

Cypriot President Dimitris Christofias holds his first official visit to Athens. To Thursday.

Athens-Piraeus Prefect Dina Bei holds a press conference on the regeneration work at the Pedion tou Areos park, at 11 a.m. at Zappeion Hall.

The head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Greece (UNHCR), Giorgos Tsarbopoulos, and Health Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos hold a joint press conference to launch a campaign for refugees in Greece. At noon at the Foreign Press Association (23 Academias).

The Hellenic Festival holds a press conference to present the 2008 program at 11.30 a.m. at the Benaki Museum.

Wednesday

A demonstration over the Macedonia name dispute is to be held at 7 p.m. in front of the Statue of the Alexander the Great in Thessaloniki.

Thursday

Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis to attend NATO foreign ministers meeting in Brussels.

Friday

The 10th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival begins in Thessaloniki and will run through March 16.

Saturday
