Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis (r) talks with German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder in Brussels yesterday ahead of the opening of a European Union summit of heads of state and government. The two-day meeting is focusing on boosting economic growth in Europe, and will also discuss proposals for a stronger EU role in the reconstruction of Iraq.
