Meanwhile, government spokesman Theodoros Roussopoulos condemned the abusive chants fired at Culture Minister Giorgos Voulgarakis by pro-New Democracy students at a rally on Tuesday at Thessaloniki’s Aristotle University. ‘Such expressions are not compatible with the political culture that New Democracy and Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis stand for,’ Roussopoulos said. The chants had targeted PASOK leader George Papandreou who had also been in Thessaloniki that day.
