PANTELIS SAITAS/ANA

Passers-by examine the flowers on display in central Kotzia Square yesterday as the City of Athens launched a 17-day flower festival. The exhibition in Kotzia Square will run from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. until May 22. A display of rare plants and flowers will take place in Syntagma Square from May 10. On Sunday, 40,000 pot plants will be placed around Athens to celebrate Mother’s Day, before being distributed to the public.
