Anarchists leave their mark on Council of State

A woman walks down the steps of the headquarters of the Council of State, which was splashed early yesterday with paint by self-styled anarchists. An anti-establishment group said its members vandalized the entrance to the country’s highest administrative court to express solidarity with thousands of inmates at jails across the country who have been refusing meals to protest overcrowding. Earlier this week Justice Minister Sotiris Hatzigakis pledged to improve conditions in jails.
