Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomaios (c) on Saturday visited a district of New Orleans that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina last August. The spiritual leader of Orthodox Christians is on a tour of the USA. He placed flowers and held prayers at the point where water had breached the city’s flood defenses, flooding thousands of homes.
