Locals living close to the Tagarades dump in Thessaloniki protested at the landfill on Saturday and prevented rubbish from being emptied there. Residents from the Mavrorachi area, where a new dump is located, also protested against the operation of the dump near their homes. Protesters are due to take legal action this week.
