Prime Minister...

ANA

Prime Minister Costas Simitis and his wife, Daphne, prepare on Saturday to board a ferry for the island of Sifnos at the port of Piraeus. Sifnos has figured as a regular August holiday destination for the Simitises for several years. Meanwhile, the capital continued to empty over the weekend, as crowds of holidaymakers headed for the Aegean Islands and the countryside. The flow is expected to peak ahead of Friday’s feast of the Dormition of the Virgin.
