A solitary walker...

AP

A solitary walker braves the sea spume at the Hania waterfront, in western Crete, yesterday as high winds whipped up waves within the old port. The weather is expected to deteriorate further today and tomorrow, with the winter’s first snow forecast to fall in Attica. Strong winds will play havoc with coastal shipping, while temperatures will drop to under 10 degrees Celsius (50F) in central and northern Greece.
