Writing on the wall at minister’s home

Justice Minister Anastassis Papaligouras on Saturday branded as terrorists some 80 self-styled anarchists who had surrounded his house the previous night and spray-painted slogans on the building’s outer walls.

“I am not deterred by any form of terrorism,” said Papaligouras. “I am doing my job and will continue to do it.”

Police said that some 80 people on motorcycles rode up to Papaligouras’s house in Neo Psychico, northern Athens, on Friday evening and began chanting anti-government slogans.

The anarchists demanded the release of a jailed associate, police said, without giving any details about the inmate. The guard on duty outside the minister’s house was not able to prevent the protesters from spraying graffiti on the building’s exterior walls.
