Engineers stand...

ANA

Engineers stand on the top of the first of four towers that will support a bridge spanning the Rio-Antirio crossing — linking the western Peloponnese with central Greece. The Greek flag was raised when construction was completed yesterday. The 2.25-kilometer (1.5-mile) suspension bridge is due to open to the public in the fall of 2004.
