Two skiers...

Giorgos Ioannou/Icon

Two skiers enjoy a ride on the ski lift on the snow-covered slopes of Mount Pelion, near Volos, yesterday. Elsewhere in the country, particularly in northern Greece, snowfall and icy conditions made roads treacherous. Evia and parts of the mainland were also affected. Ferries remained moored at Thessaloniki and some Aegean services from Piraeus were canceled due to high winds. Today weather conditions will remain severe in many parts of the country with snow expected in Athens.
