Farmers poured barrels of milk yesterday onto the Athens-Thessaloniki national highway, close to Larissa in central Greece, to protest being paid low prices for their dairy product. Farmers are asking for 0.90 euros per liter of milk, versus the current 0.85 euro market price, and have threatened to continue protest action.
