More evidence related to the alleged suicide of Costas Tsalikidis was given yesterday to the prosecutor investigating the case, including a list of calls made and messages received on the Vodafone software engineer’s four mobile phones.

Sources said two of the text messages on the list given to Yiannis Diotis were of particular interest. They were sent on February 3, 2004 — just over a month before Tsalikidis died. The messages were words of encouragement from colleagues at Vodafone.

“Hello darling. I don’t know what’s bothering you. I hope you’re well,” read one message. “Keep walking. I’m by your side for whatever you need. Call me whenever you want.” Authorities want to learn what had been troubling Tsalikidis. The prosecutor will call everyone who had contact with the engineer to testify.

Meanwhile, six people, including leftists whose phone numbers were on the list of those being tapped, said yesterday that they had instructed their lawyers to act on their behalf in the probe into the phone tapping.
