A view from the base of the Parthenon columns yesterday shows a crane being used by workers restoring the ancient landmark. Alekos Alavanos, a Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) MP, visited the site and the New Acropolis Museum yesterday. Alavanos criticized the government, which allegedly owes the Parthenon workers eight months’ pay.
