Pedestrians walk through the fog along the Thessaloniki seafront yesterday. The foggy conditions in northern and northeastern Greece led to the airport in Ioannina having to close as visibility was too low for takeoffs or landings. The airport remained closed last night and many passengers continued their journeys by road.
