Slovenian swimmer Martin Strel takes a breath yesterday while making his way through the Corinth Canal, a distance of 6.3 kilometers which he covered in one hour and 10 minutes ‘to raise environmental awareness.’ Strel holds three Guinness records and has swum the length of the Amazon and the Mississippi. ‘I swim for peace, friendship and clean water,’ he says.
