Ecumenial Patriarch Vartholomaios (left), the spiritual leader of Orthodox Christians, arrived yesterday at Samos airport as he continued his travels around the Greek islands and was met by Archbishop Christodoulos (right), the head of the Church of Greece. It is Vartholomaios’s first official visit to the eastern Aegean island. The ecumenical patriarch had earlier visited the island of Lesvos.
