A helicopter carrying water flies through a thick cloud of smoke in Melissia, northern Athens, yesterday on its way to help in the effort to put out a wildfire that broke out on Mount Pendeli around 10.30 a.m. Helicopters continued to drop water on the fire last night as authorities tried to extinguish the blaze on numerous fronts.
