Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis visited the United Nations in New York yesterday. ‘I had a very fruitful discussion with UN General-Secretary Kofi Annan. We discussed many issues but mainly the Cyprus issue,’ Karamanlis told reporters after the talks. ‘I stressed to him that we must look ahead, and keep one basic priority — the island’s reunification and the prospect that all its residents can enjoy the benefits of the EU accession.’
