New collection of Egyptian artifacts...

Simela Pantzartzi/ANA

Visitors to Athens’s National Archaeological Museum are seen yesterday examining a sculpture of a woman engrossed in a domestic chore, part of the museum’s new collection of Egyptian artifacts that was inaugurated last week. The collection, said to be one of the most important in Europe, attracted a particularly large crowd yesterday as Greeks and foreigners took advantage of free entrance for International Museum Day. More than 4,000 people visited the New Acropolis Museum yesterday, according to staff at the new site.
