‘Action Thessaloniki 2003’ group staged two demonstrations...

AP

About 100 people belonging to the ‘Action Thessaloniki 2003’ group staged two demonstrations in Piraeus yesterday against the visit by six frigates of NATO’s Standing Naval Force Mediterranean. The anti-EU group, which protests at every EU gathering during the Greek presidency, believed the Dutch, Greek, German, Spanish, Italian and Turkish warships were headed for the Persian Gulf. Thessaloniki will host the EU summit in June.
