Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis to chair Inner Cabinet meeting on financial issues at 11 a.m. At 8 p.m., he will address an event at the Athens Concert Hall in memory of late premier Constantine Karamanlis, hosted by the Constantinos Karamanlis Institute for Democracy.

- Finance Minister Giorgos Alogoskoufis to chair a meeting on the institutional framework for investments made by pension funds. The meeting will be attended by Labor Minister Savvas Tsitouridis, Governor of the Bank of Greece Nicholas Garganas and Chairman of the Capital Market Commission Alexis Pilavios.

- Synaspismos Left Coalition leader Alekos Alavanos to meet with the Federation of Hospital Doctors of Greece at 2.30 p.m. at party’s offices.

- The Chemical Process Research Engineering Institute holds a conference on the occasion of the “European Descartes Prize 2006 for Scientific Collaborative Research,” at noon in the amphitheater of the National Research Foundation.
