Foreign Minister George Papandreou is seen against a portrait of Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh — who died last Thursday, a day after being stabbed in a Stockholm department store — during a memorial service at Stockholm’s City Hall yesterday. In an emotional speech, Papandreou, who lived in Sweden as a boy, praised Lindh as a daring, honest politician who, in her qualities, personified her country.
