A policeman in riot...

NIKOS ARVANITIDIS/ANA

A policeman in riot gear watches over a central Thessaloniki street early yesterday after a group of self-styled anarchists attacked a Piraeus Bank branch and the entrance to the grounds of the Thessaloniki International Fair. Police said that a group of about 15 men threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at the bank and fair’s entrance areas at about 2.15 a.m. before escaping into the nearby Aristotle University campus.
