93rd anniversary of the genocide...

PANTELIS SAITAS/ANA

Children holding Armenian flags take part in a march held in the center of Athens on Saturday as they head toward the Turkish Embassy. The march was held to mark the 93rd anniversary of the genocide committed against Armenians by the Ottoman Empire during World War I. Interior Minister Prokopis Pavlopoulos repeated Greece's support for the Armenian people and called for lessons to be learnt from past mistakes. A gathering was also held in Thessaloniki, in cooperation with the Thessaloniki prefecture, to mark the event.
