Fire in Kokkino Nero...

EUROKINISSI

A boy who has covered his face with a T-shirt flees an approaching fire in Kokkino Nero in central Greece. The fire, near Mount Kissavos, was brought under control last night thanks to some heavy rain. However, a large wildfire continued to burn on Rhodes, forcing authorities to declare a state of emergency on the island. Some 100 firefighters and 10 aircraft were involved in the effort to put out the blaze as it approached the village of Laerma.
