Protesters march toward the Mesochora dam in central Greece to complain about the planned diversion of the Acheloos River. The first dam in the project to divert the river toward the heavily farmed plains of Thessaly is being built in Mesochora. Riot police were on duty to prevent protesters from advancing past a certain point.
